More Geauga Lake Land Selling

The land from the former Geauga Lake amusement park has finally started to sell, although still in little bits and pieces.

The Aurora Advocate has reported that in addition to the 11 acres that made up the Geauga Lake Hotel another 100 acres were under agreement for sale.

No buyer for the 100 acres parcel was named, but Cedar Fair said that the two sales would bring around $8 million.

Now WKYC is also reporting that another 30 acres has gone under agreement, this time the land will be used for 'big box' stores and restaurants.

The 30 acres represent the parking lot for the former park that is along Route 43. No price was given for this latest agreement.

And, even with all this news, still nothing about what might actually happen to and or going on with the classic Big Dipper as another winter sets in.
