Nik Wallenda Performs at Dorney Park

Today the famous Nik Wallenda performed an amazing high rope walk at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. See that big banner at the entrance? Yes, that's why we are here. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so good today but cleared up enough for the walk to take place.

Nik walked the length of the Possessed roller coaster's two vertical towers. Here we see him resting just before the walk started.

And he's off! He was 'almost' 100 ft. in the air and the length between the two towers was well over 300 ft. As you probably know, Nik does not use any form of net or harness when doing these walks!

This gives you some perspective on how high up there he was!

The crowd loved it, and despite the horrible rains all day a nice group gathered to cheer him on. He made good time, too! It seemed like he was reaching the other side just moments after he started.

I know he looks like a little ant in the sky, but I enjoy see everyone staring up at him holding their breath!

Nik was available (and with quite a line) to sign autographs and meet fans afterward. Really, he's in this shot I swear!

I took a little video of the event so you can check that out:

Props to Cedar Fair for having Nik do walks at almost all their parks, the new special events kick they are on is wonderful.
