Scott And Carol Present - Six Flags Great America & Rocky Mountain Construction Unveil the Goliath Train

Six Flags Great America unveiled the train for Goliath, their new attraction for 2014. On hand were Fred Grubb, owner of Rocky Mountain Construction, Hank Salemi, from Six Flags Great America, and Alan Schilke, who designed Goliath. The ride will feature two inversions and establish three world records.

The honor of the first "ride" went to Hank and Alan. Fred Grubb and Suanne Dedmon hoped into the back seat. Alan has been involved with roller coaster design for decades, with his most recent thriller, the Iron Rattler, getting rave reviews from guests at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City being named “Ride of the Year.” He spared a few moments on the floor for a brief interview.

Coming this spring, Goliath will be tallest and fastest wooden hybrid roller coaster on the planet, and Six Flags Great America will have more wooden roller coaster track that any other park. It is gonna be a great year in 2014.
